Direct Sales Aid

Jewelry In Candles ended its Consultant program in 2026.

The brand may still sell its products, but it no longer works with independent sellers, so it no longer appears in our directory.

Jewelry In Candles launched in 2013 with one big idea: a scented candle with a ring, necklace or bracelet hidden inside. Founder and CEO Osagie Enaiho, who had run a direct sales agency before, built it from a $200 start into a large online gift brand. It later renamed itself Jewelry Candles and added cash candles, wax melts, bath bombs, soaps and more. Alongside its own web store, it recruited independent Representatives, later called Consultants, and relaunched that program several times. By October 2026 the consultant starter kits were gone. The company now trades as ILoveSurprises and offers only a link-affiliate program.

Jewelry In Candles - Our Thoughts

Company History

Jewelry In Candles was founded in 2013 by Osagie Enaiho. According to the company's About page, he had run his own direct sales agency for more than a decade, and he started the candle business with $200 in his apartment. The company later said it had grown into a multi-million dollar, global business. Enaiho also ran BathBombs.com, and the About page named Louisville, Kentucky as his home.

The business began at jewelryincandles.com and was recruiting representatives within weeks of launch: a "become a jewelry candle representative" page was online by May 2013. It later moved to jewelrycandles.com and branched out from jar candles into cash candles, wax melts, bath bombs and many themed lines.

“Through our brand new, re-launched independent consultant program, we are also looking to empower women (and men) to start their own successful direct sales businesses selling our amazing, one of a kind products!”

Jewelry Candles website (About Us), December 2021

The seller program was rebuilt more than once. Archived pages show per-rep stores in 2016, "consultant starter packs" in 2020 and a relaunched program in 2021.

What They Sold

Every product hid a heat-sealed foil packet. Burn the candle down, or let the bath bomb dissolve, and the packet appeared. Inside was a ring, necklace, pendant, bracelet, pair of earrings or cash. The company said its candles were 100% soy wax and vegan, offered more than 100 scents, and shipped worldwide.

  • Jewelry Candles: the original jar candles with a jewelry surprise, including ring candles where buyers picked a size.
  • Cash Candles: candles hiding real US currency, later in coffee mugs, soda cans and cereal bowls.
  • Wax melts and bath: jewelry and cash wax melts, giant figurine melts, bath bombs, sugar scrubs and goat milk soaps.
  • Gifts: zodiac, celebrity, city, state and occasion themes, plus surprise candy, chocolates, slime and greeting cards.

Customers could send photos of their jewelry for a free appraisal. The company said the jewelry was worth between $10 and $7,500; it did not publish how often high-value pieces appeared.

How the Business Worked

Sellers were first called Representatives and later Consultants. Each bought a starter kit and got a rep website. Orders were drop-shipped by the company, so sellers carried no inventory. Many sold online and on social media; others ran parties and vendor events.

Starter Kit

In 2021 the company sold Bronze, Silver and Gold starter packages. The Bronze kit cost $99, which the company said was "a value of $278.85." A website-only digital kit also existed, and the kits carried an ongoing fee of $10 a month. The company encouraged Consultants to buy more kits as a cheap way to restock catalogs and scent samplers.

Pay

The 2021 plan paid 20% commission on the first 1,000 points of lifetime personal retail volume and 25% on sales after that, plus bonuses. Payouts were by mailed check or PayPal once a Consultant had at least $25 earned. The company also advertised incentive trips and published a compensation plan and income disclosure statement.

What Happened

The consultant kits disappeared quietly. Archived copies show the rep kit pages still online in 2023 and mid-2024. By October 2, 2026, the starter kit collection and kit product pages on jewelrycandles.com returned "page not found." An old "Become a Consultant" page still loaded, but nothing on it could be bought. The site's menu now points to an "Affiliates" sign-up run on UpPromote, a generic link-affiliate service. The company did not announce the change or give a reason.

The business itself continues. The jewelrycandles.com footer now reads “Jewelry Candles is now ILoveSurprises!”, and the company sells the same surprise candles, wax melts and bath bombs at ilovesurprises.com.

“We exist to elevate ordinary evenings into celebration.”

ILoveSurprises website (About), 2026

The new ILoveSurprises site contains an unfinished consultant enrollment section describing kits, storefronts and team overrides. As of October 2026 there was no sign it was taking real sign-ups, so the only open program is the link-affiliate one. Former Consultants can no longer buy rep kits or earn commission through the old rep websites.

Jewelry In Candles FAQ

Is Jewelry In Candles still in business?
Yes, as a retailer. The company still sells surprise candles, wax melts and bath bombs online, and in 2026 it announced that Jewelry Candles is now ILoveSurprises. What has ended is its consultant program: the starter kits and rep websites are gone, and only a link-affiliate program remains.
What happened to the Jewelry In Candles consultant program?
The company ran a representative, later consultant, program from 2013, relaunching it several times. Rep kit pages were still online in mid-2024, but by October 2026 the kits returned page-not-found errors and the site's menu pointed to a generic UpPromote affiliate sign-up instead. The company did not announce the change or give a reason.
Can I still buy Jewelry In Candles products?
Yes. The company sells its jewelry candles, cash candles, wax melts, bath bombs and other surprise products directly online, at jewelrycandles.com and its new ILoveSurprises site. It still offers a free jewelry appraisal for pieces found inside. You no longer need, or can use, a Consultant's rep website to order.
What companies are similar to Jewelry In Candles?
Pink Zebra and Scentsy still sell candles and wax melts through independent consultants, though without a hidden prize. Happy Wax sells wax melts online. On Direct Sales Aid you can browse the candle and fragrance category to compare live companies, their starter kits and their pay plans.
