Direct Sales Aid

Accessibility

We want every visitor to be able to research companies, find consultants and use their account, whatever tools they browse with.

Our standard

Direct Sales Aid aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content usable by people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions and other assistive technology.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to content” link is the first stop on every page, and every link and control shows a visible keyboard focus.
  • Text and interface colours were re-tuned to meet the AA contrast ratio in both the light and dark themes.
  • Forms, search boxes and rating controls have labels that screen readers announce, and errors are announced when they occur.
  • Images carry descriptions, headings follow a logical order, and star ratings are read as “4 out of 5 stars”.
  • Our training videos include captions.
  • Every public page template is checked with an automated WCAG scanner before release, and a manual keyboard and screen-reader review is repeated regularly.

Known limitations

  • Company profiles, consultant listings and news stories include photos and text supplied by members and companies. Some older images may lack a useful description. Tell us and we will fix it.
  • Embedded third-party content, such as YouTube videos and the payment form provided by Stripe, is controlled by those providers and may not meet the same standard.

Report a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, please tell us. We will acknowledge your report within two business days and work with you to provide the information or service you need in a way that works for you.

For example: “The company search field is not announced by my screen reader.”
