Cloud 9 Parties was a party-plan company founded in 2012 and run from Arizona. Its archived website named Crysti Sheldon as founder and CEO and said she had spent two decades in the party plan industry. Cloud 9 sold romance and intimacy products at adults-only home parties, but it tried to stand apart by adding lingerie, shapewear, jewelry, spa items and nail foils, which it called “a complete boutique shopping experience.” Representatives earned 40% on their sales from the start. The site was still live in November 2017. By mid-2018 it no longer loaded, and no closure announcement has been found.
Cloud 9 Parties - Our Thoughts
Company History
Cloud 9 Parties launched in 2012. Its archived website named Crysti Sheldon as founder and CEO. The site said she had worked in the party plan industry for about two decades as a sales leader and business owner, and that she wanted to build a romance party plan with “more variety, more opportunity and more support” than its rivals. The company's tagline was “Taking Romance To New Heights.”

The business ran from Arizona. Its customer support line used a Phoenix-area 480 number and kept Arizona business hours, and the Direct Sales Aid record lists Mesa as its home. Representatives sold in the United States, and the contact form also accepted Canadian addresses.
“Cloud 9 Parties is so much more than a romance home party company. We offer a complete boutique shopping experience.”

The company also backed a cause. Its philanthropy page told the story of a toddler named Macy Vail who became an organ donor, and said Cloud 9 gave a percentage of the sale of one product, Hearts of Fire, to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.
What They Sold
Cloud 9 described its range as a boutique rather than a romance catalog alone. The representative FAQ said the line ran to more than 400 products. The main groups were:
- Lingerie and shapewear: lingerie sets, plus matching shapewear and undergarments for everyday wear.
- Fashion accessories: jewelry, shoes, wigs and costumes.
- Spa and beauty: bath and spa products, massage items, pheromone perfumes and nail foils.
- Intimacy products: lotions, lubricants and adult novelties for women, men and couples, with a separate line for men.
Parties were for adults only, and ordering was confidential, which the company and its sellers saw as a key selling point. Hosts could pick from dozens of themes, from a spa party or a wine and cheese night to a pajama party, a beach party or a costume party. The company also published separate catalogs, including a 2014 lingerie catalog.
How the Business Worked
Sellers were called Representatives, and the site sometimes called them consultants. They held home parties, sold through a personal e-commerce website, and could build a team. The company offered several starter kit options and Transfer Kits for people moving from another party plan, plus a “direct to management” start for experienced leaders.
Pay
Every Representative earned a 40% base commission on party sales from the first sale, whichever kit she chose. The FAQ said there were no lofty monthly quotas, although leaders had to close two parties a month to receive team override commissions. Overrides were advertised as paid on every generation of a team, which the company called “residual income to infinity.” Other rewards included:
- Dream Car Bonus: a monthly cash car bonus in three levels, starting with three new qualified Representatives in one calendar month.
- Home Award: a $10,000 annual award that Representatives could earn as they built their business.
- No demotion: once a management rank was reached, it was kept for good.
- Travel and prizes: conventions, regional training and incentive trips.
Hostesses and customers
Hostesses earned 20% of their party's sales in free products, plus half-price items and access to a hostess-only “Cloud Collection.” These rewards were paid by the company, not by the Representative. A VIP customer offer let shoppers buy an item for just $9 with a qualifying purchase.
What Happened
Cloud 9 Parties never published a closure notice that we could find. The Wayback Machine shows its home page working normally on November 14, 2017. By March 2018 the address redirected, and captures from July and August 2018 show only a short server message instead of the shop. Today cloud9parties.com does not respond at all (checked October 2, 2026). No successor company or new owner is known, and the company gave no public reason.
Former Representatives can no longer order stock or earn commissions. Readers interested in party-plan fashion and accessories can look at live companies on Direct Sales Aid, such as Paparazzi for low-priced jewelry and accessories.
