What is Cookie Lee?
Cookie Lee sold fashion jewelry at friendly prices: necklaces and pendants, bracelet sets, earrings, rings, watches and seasonal pieces such as holiday charms and sweater pins. Almost everything cost less than $40, and the company published two catalogs a year plus monthly specials and exclusives. Its customers were mostly busy women who wanted to look put-together without paying fine-jewelry prices, along with hostesses who liked earning free pieces by holding a show for friends.
