What is Traveling Vineyard?
Traveling Vineyard sold its own labels of everyday wine at budget-friendly prices, mostly $15 to $25 a bottle in its final years. The cellar ran from Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Shiraz to Riesling, Pecorino and Muscat, sourced from growers in the United States, Europe, South America and Australia. Its biggest sellers were sweet wines, the Fissata and Double Date labels. Customers were usually friends of a host who liked trying wine at home, plus subscribers to its REWINED wine club.
