What is DakoModa?
DakoModa sold dressy everyday clothes for babies and children up to size 7T. The range included Pima cotton polos and polo dresses, button-up plaid and striped shirts, ruffled blouses, pants, rompers, bodysuits and layette sets, plus party dresses in Japanese cotton and a few wool pieces. The organic line used GOTS-certified Pima cotton for newborns. Prices ran from about $24.95 for a bodysuit to $49.95 for more detailed dresses. Buyers were parents and grandparents who wanted the picture-day look without boutique prices, and gift shoppers buying for new babies.
