Hi, I'm Kara, an Independent Yellow Status Presenter & Mentor with Younique Cosmetics. I'm also a licensed Cosmetologist/Freelance Makeup Artist in the Cosmetic Industry for more than 20 years. I've worked in Salons & Retail as a Makeup Artist for companies such as M.A.C., NARS, Chanel, & more. After leaving the world of makeup more than 15 years ago to raise my 2 children, I decided to return to the cosmetic world but despised the thought of going back to a retail environment. Working long & late hours, weekends, holidays & feeling over worked & under paid was not something I found appealing, as well as having no personal life or time for my family & friends. So I decided to go into business for myself as a makeup artist so I can work when I wanted & still have the freedom to spend with my family. When I heard I heard about Younique & how awesome their cosmetic products were, & the foundations they have in place to help sexually abused women & children, I saw the big picture & knew this was something I needed to be involved with. Being able to work from home, & spend time with my family, was the perfect solution to balance work & personal life for me. I was thrilled to be back in the cosmetic field doing makeup applications, making a profit on my sales, & coaching a team of Presenters to follow their dreams as well as to uplift/empower them to change the lives of others.
